The International Max Planck Research School for Biology and Computation (IMPRS-BAC) is now accepting applications for its 2026 doctoral program. This prestigious graduate school offers a unique interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of molecular life sciences and computational sciences, hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and Freie Universität Berlin.
Program Overview
IMPRS-BAC provides structured PhD training for outstanding graduates in fields such as:

Applicants must submit:
- A motivation letter
- A formal CV (without photo)
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- A research proposal aligned with IMPRS faculty interests
- Two academic references
- Names of up to five potential supervisors

FUBiS - International Summer and Winter University of the Freie Universität Berlin - offers intensive and semi-intensive German language classes in summer and winter.
Doctoral Studies Program "History and Cultural Studies"

Egyptian-German Research Matchmaking 2025 – Second Edition
On October 7th and 8th, 2025, over 100 researchers, science diplomats, and institutional representatives from Egypt and Germany gathered in Cairo for the second Egyptian-German Research Matchmaking Day. Through keynotes, panels, and expert roundtables, the event fostered new academic partnerships and deepened collaboration across disciplines.

Freie Universität Berlin participated successfully in the German Science Day 2025, offering lectures and counselling on research and career opportunities.
