Freie Universität Berlin participated in the “Karriere Road-Show: Deine Karriere mit Deutsch,” in Alexandria, engaging with a large number of motivated young attendees and providing insights into study opportunities in Berlin.

On Saturday, 15th November 2025, Freie Universität Berlin participated in the “Karriere Road-Show: Deine Karriere mit Deutsch” organized by the Goethe Institute Alexandria, an event designed to showcase the many academic and professional opportunities that open up through learning German. With its strong focus on higher education and career development, the fair attracted an impressive number of young attendees aged 16 to 25 — including school pupils, university students and young professionals eager to explore their future pathways.

The event offered a rich and varied program spread across two visitor slots, featuring information booths from German organizations and companies, interactive workshops, and sessions highlighting how German language skills can strengthen academic and career prospects.

Freie Universität Berlin received immense interest throughout the day, with a steady flow of prospective students attending both information sessions and engaging with FU representatives at the booth. Many visitors asked detailed questions about studying in Germany, admission requirements, language expectations, life on campus in Berlin and the wide range of degree programs offered at FU Berlin. Their curiosity and enthusiasm underscored once more how attractive German universities—particularly FU Berlin—continue to be for young learners in Egypt.

Due to the excellent organisation of the Goethe Institute Alexandria, Workshops and presentations were filled quickly, reflecting the strong motivation among participants to gain first-hand insights into German-study pathways and career opportunities.

Freie Universität Berlin was delighted to be part of this initiative and to connect with so many engaged and motivated young people. We look forward to welcoming many of them to Berlin in the coming years and to continuing our commitment to supporting German learners in Egypt on their educational journeys.
