The successful applicant will assume responsibilities in research and teaching in the area named above and manage the Junior Research Group Relationship Dynamics and Gender Relations in the Arts.
Appointment requirements are governed by article 102a of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
The appointee will have an outstanding track record of university teaching and research in Theater Studies and Gender and Queer Studies, preferably with a strong international component. Candidates should have experience with interdisciplinary joint research projects and sponsored research.
The successful candidate is expected to participate in the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies and maintain close ties with local art collections and cultural institutions (such as museums and theaters) and non-university partner institutions in Berlin, especially with the Max Planck Institute for Human Development.
The junior professor will be appointed as a civil servant for an initial duration of three years. Provided that her or his performance is thereafter evaluated positively, employment may be extended for three more years.
