Berlin is considered the German capital of start-ups. One reason for this are the numerous university spin-offs which not only serve as engines of sustainable innovation, but also challenge the status quo.

What is the (economic) significance of these science-based spin-offs with regard to innovation and sustainability? What kind of support is needed from the educational sector, policy makers and businesses? What challenges do university spin-offs face in pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals? To what extent can these start-ups foster cooperation in Berlin, but also globally? These and other questions will be discussed with experts from the Berlin start-up scene.

Moderation: Dr. Kristina Fajga

Panel:
