As Berlin Science Week marks its 10th anniversary, we look not back, but forward. With this year’s festival theme, Beyond Now, we ask how science can help us break through the escalating urgencies of the present and open new perspectives for the future. With more than 300 events across the city, the 2025 programme offers spaces for collective visioning: not as escapism, but as a form of grounded optimism.
The Opening Night will set the stage for the week ahead. We’ll be bringing together this year’s partners and sponsors in a creative and innovative networking format. Envisioned in partnership with the Jazz Institute of the Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK), the evening merges scientific discovery, musical performance, and direct exchange. It will be a space to meet and connect with peers, network, and celebrate the kind of unexpected encounters that fuel interdisciplinary collaboration.
