Buchpräsentation mit Prof. Uzi Rebhun (Hebrew University of New York): "A Double Burden - Israeli Jews in Contemporary Germany" (State University of New York Press 2022) im Gespräch mit Prof. Dr. Stefanie Schüler-Springorum
Abstract:
I critically analyze Israeli-Jewish migration to Germany. I am informed by a view among many Israelis that associates Germany with the most tragic chapter in Jewish history. The study tracks the migrants’ reasons for making the move, families’ reactions, settlement in the new country, social and economic integration, construction of identity, and the perception of old and new antisemitism in Germany.
