The department of Prof. Küster is looking for a research assistant (m/f/d) with 3/4 part-time employment (75%), limited to 4 years, in the field of “Data-driven Accounting and Auditing” as of October 1, 2025.

The chair offers a wide range of tasks with the possibility of a doctorate in the field of financial accounting or auditing. The teaching and research focus is on various facets of accounting, corporate reporting in a national and international context, and auditing issues. Methodologically, the focus is on quantitative empirical approaches, in particular computer-aided text analysis (natural language processing) and machine learning methods.

We are looking for very good graduates of Master's programs with a strong interest in topics of accounting or auditing who would like to dedicate themselves to the application of quantitative research methods and are highly motivated to participate in joint research projects.

You will work in a small, collaborative team that appreciates your commitment and interest. We offer, among other things

Requirements:
completed academic university degree (Master) in business administration or economics sciences with a focus on accounting and/or auditing

Desirable:
- very good knowledge of financial accounting and/or auditing
- Master's degree with 2.0 or better
- very good knowledge of econometrics
- good knowledge of statistical programming (e.g. Stata, R, or Python)
- very good knowledge of English and German
- very high level of personal responsibility and motivation as well as ability to work in a team
