We are looking for one student assistants to support the development of an environmentally friendly solution for the efficient filtration of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) from contaminated water. Our research group offers a highly interdisciplinary and diverse working environment. The focus of the group is to design functional macromolecular architectures to understand biological principles.
 
Job description:
The student assistant supports scientists in interdisciplinary research in the field of chemistry and materials science. Central tasks are sample preparation, adsorption experiments, analyses in the laboratory (spectroscopy, HPLC) and literature research. Assistance with AI-supported process optimization is also possible, if there is corresponding interest. The research work is carried out in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Polymer Research and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing.
 
Desirable:
- Study of chemistry or polymer science
- Experience in laboratory work and sample preparation
- Scientific understanding, analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently
