Doctoral Program Natural Sciences

Books

The doctoral program “Natural Sciences” is jointly supported and designed by the two FU departments of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Physics. The goal of the structured program is to train talented doctoral students to become excellent natural scientists. Besides interdisciplinary scientific studies, this is also promoted by accompanying supervision.
In addition to the scientific competences, the doctoral students are given the opportunity to develop interdisciplinary competences, especially in the areas of knowledge transfer, scientific integrity and science and research management. Furthermore, they are trained in science-relevant foreign languages and gender and diversity aspects. The program prepares doctoral students to take on junior positions in universities, research institutions and in public or private institutions for which a special scientific qualification is required.
