Join the Launch of the Berlin Editors Exchange Network (BEE-NET)
Empowering the Future of Peer Review together

Nov. 28, 2025 | 10AM-4PM | BIH Atrium, Anna-Louisa-Karsch-Str. 2, Berlin-Mitte

Join us for the launch of the Berlin Editors Exchange Network (BEE-NET), a cross-disciplinary community dedicated to rethinking and improving peer review. Together, we’ll explore how editors can help shape the future of high-quality peer review and engage early-career researchers meaningfully in reviewing activities through hands-on training.

What to Expect:

Editor Exchange
Connect with a growing network of Berlin-based journal editors who are passionate about improving scientific editing and peer review. Share your experiences, discuss common challenges, and explore fresh ideas with peers from across disciplines. Join us if you're interested in improving your own editorial practices and mentoring the next generation of reviewers!

Broadening Peerspectives
Learn about Peerspectives, a proven model for training early-career researchers in high quality peer review. Originally developed for PhD students in the biomedical sciences, the program combines interactive lectures with hands-on workshops led by experienced editor-mentors. Participants complete real peer reviews for manuscripts submitted to partnering journals. Learn more about how you can get involved with this project as an editor-mentor and help us expand it to more disciplines!

Access Our Toolkit
Get practical resources to launch your own workshops to train critical peer review skills using our tested formats and templates.

Whether you're an editor looking for community, a reviewer ready to mentor, or a researcher passionate about reforming academic publishing — this event is for you.

Let’s build a more transparent, inclusive, and rigorous peer review culture — together.
