Europe and the World Winter School 2025: Current Challenges for the EU - Migrations, Latin America and Climate Change

03.02.2025 - 07.02.2025

The Una Europa Europe and the World Winter School will take place from 3 - 7 February 2025 at the
Universidad Complutense de Madrid, providing an excellent opportunity to bring together students from
various cohorts and campuses of the Una Europa Joint Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BAES).

Under the guidance of academics and practitioners, students will analyse current policy outcomes and
develop recommendations to address pressing challenges such as the complexities of implementing the
new EU Pact on Immigration and Asylum; the technological and financial uncertainties linked to the EU's
climate change agenda; and the impact on the European Union of economic and political instability
across numerous Latin American countries. The programme consists of lectures, workshops and field
trips.

The Winter School aims to strengthen interdisciplinary learning and foster a professional network among
students with shared academic and professional interests in European Studies. Participants will build
critical thinking skills by analysing topics of importance for Europe, enrich their understanding of the
EU’s current landscape, and develop a comparative and collaborative perspective by engaging with
students from diverse backgrounds. This is a unique chance to grow your network among international
students, researchers and professors!
