3 March, 10:45-11:45, Parallel Session 2c - Future LibraryLab

The Benefits and Opportunities of Library Collaboration with a Focus on the Una Europa Future LibraryLab Initiative: Towards a Collaborative Network of Una Europa University Libraries & Librarians.

Session Hosts: Kirsty Lingstadt, Jeremy Upton, Cosima Wagner Target Group: Librarians

This session is a continuation from day 2.

Since November 2020, librarians from the Una Europa partner universities of Berlin, Bologna, Edinburgh, Helsinki and Krakow have been considering the benefits and opportunities presented by library cooperation within Una Europa. Our discussions have led us to develop the concept of a “Future LibraryLab,” a laboratory for advancing research librarianship within the Una Europa network. The idea for the Future LibraryLab is to establish a regular forum for developing and experimenting with innovative future research and teaching (library) infrastructure services as well as fostering collaboration between the staff of the university libraries.

In this session the organizers will explore some of the ideas, which have emerged from the Future LibraryLab work and provide opportunities to explore these in more detail. The session will include short lightning talks followed by break-out sessions in smaller groups.

The goal of this session is to bring together colleagues in order to strengthen the existing collaborative network with the Future LibraryLab as a potential framework for follow-up exchange and joint projects in line with the overall goals and objectives of Una Europa.
