Applicants receive an applicant identification number (applicant ID) as well as an authentication number (BAN) during the registration process at http://www.hochschulstart.de. You can view both numbers via your Hochschulstart account using the tab “Meine Daten / my data”. These personal identification numbers are necessary for the further application process.

In case you have deleted it, you can send us an email with the subject “forgot user name DoSV” to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please state the following, complete data: name, first name, date of birth, address and course of study for which you have applied. We will send you your user name to the email address you have stated during your registration via Hochschulstart.

Please use the following link https://hochschulstart.ecampus.fu-berlin.de to access the registration and login page. Enter your username and password right top. After the login click the button “Bewerbung starten” (start application). The next page will show you an overview and you will be able to create a new application and to submit it, to see the status of all created applications as well as to edit your applications.
It is possible to edit applications before the application deadline (January 15 or July 15, 23:59 p.m.) as long as no processing has taken place.
In case, you wish to edit your application, this will only be possible for applications with the status „in Vorbereitung“ (in preparation), „eingegangen“ (received) und „zurückgezogen“ (withdrawn).
You can immediately edit and submit applications in preparation.
If you wish to edit a submitted application (received), you need to withdraw this application first. Only then, you can edit it and submit it again.
Changes to applications, which have already been processed by Freie Universität Berlin, with the status „gültig“ (valid) and „vorläufig ausgeschlossen“ (preliminary excluded) can only be made by our administration. Please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once the request of deferment has been made, it cannot be taken back. The applicant loses the right to the allocation of a place of study for the semester in question. You have the possibility to apply for preferential admission for the next application period. Please read the information given on our websites.
Please log in to the DoSV application portal of Freie Universität Berlin. The next page will show you an overview of your applications. On the right under the tab “Persönliche Informationen” (personal information) you will find your DoSV application number (Bewerbernummer): a six-digit number beginning with the “5”.
