With its new online series “Promotion im Dialog” (Doctoral Studies in Dialogue), the Dahlem Research School (DRS) invites all stakeholders involved in doctoral education at Freie Universität Berlin to participate in an open exchange. The series offers brief presentations as well as space for discussion and the exchange of experiences. The aim is to highlight key topics related to doctoral research, explore common ground, and strengthen networking among the participants.

First online session: “Good Supervision”

December 3, 2025, 12:00–1:00 p.m.

To kick things off, we will focus on a key topic of the doctoral phase: good supervision. The session will offer three brief insights, followed by an invitation to join in the discussion:

Nacaps (National Academics Panel Study) is a nationwide longitudinal study by the DZHW on doctoral and career conditions.
