35 years ago, mathematician Gerald Warnecke received the Ernst Reuter Prize for his outstanding mathematical dissertation. Today, the alumnus is a professor at Otto von Guericke Universität Magdeburg. The focus of his research is currently on equations and computational methods, and flows with phase transition between water vapor and droplets.
