The German Science Days 2016 for Outstanding Egyptian PhD and Post-doc Candidates

A unique opportunity for the PhD and Post-Doc candidates to establish a first-contact with German professors, and to present their proposals.

Continuing our tradition of the successful event "German Science Days", the Freie Universität Berlin Cairo Office in cooperation with the member organizations of the German Science Centre (DWZ) organized for the fifth time, the German Science Day offering a great variety of lectures, counselling sessions and panel discussions.

Over 300 outstanding PhD and Post-Doctoral candidates attended the day and more than 30 individual counselling sessions were offered by professors and representatives of the Freie Universität Berlin. Amongst others, Prof. Dr. Christine Knaevelrud presented the Freie Universität Berlin’s project “Web-Based psychological intervention for traumatized individuals in regions of violent conflicts: a Berlin-Alexandrian cooperation” The project is concerned with providing individuals without access to mental health care institutions, professional support through online diagnoses and therapy sessions. In addition, Dr. Florian Kohstall, the Head of the Freie Universität Berlin Cairo Office, gave a lecture on "Doing your PhD or Postdoc at FU Berlin"
