Information sessions on the recognition process required to work in a German pharmacy. Next session will take place online on November 13, 2024.

Germany is currently experiencing a significant shortage of pharmacists, creating a favorable environment for qualified foreign pharmacists to pursue rewarding career opportunities within the German healthcare system.

To assist international pharmaceutical degree holders in navigating the recognition process and successfully establishing themselves in Germany, the Freie Universität Berlin is organizing informative sessions, funded by the the German Academic Exchange Service, to cover essential topics such as the necessary steps for the recognition process required to work in a German pharmacy, visa requirements, documentation needs, language proficiency expectations, and the required pharmaceutical exams.

Furthermore, we will introduce the DAAD-funded Pharma Profi Plus Project, which offers complimentary preparatory courses and personalized guidance to facilitate the recognition process. It's important to note that this project does not provide scholarships for visas or living expenses.

The initial information session in Alexandria on October 17, in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy & Drug Manufacturing of the Pharos University, attracted a large audience of over 130 Egyptian pharmacists. The session was hosted by the Alexandria Syndicate of Pharmacists in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Ansi Al-Shafei, President of the Syndicate.

To provide fair access to all interested pharmacists from all over Egypt, we will be conducting another online session on November 13, 2024. Further details regarding registration will be made available on our website and Facebook page.

We encourage all interested candidates to attend these sessions and seize this unique opportunity to explore the prospects of a fulfilling career as a pharmacist in Germany.
