Welcome to The Brilliant 1000 - Best of 100 to 100 idea competition! Join us on November 13, 2025, at the Max-Liebermann-Haus for a day filled with creativity and innovation.

The Brilliant 1000 – Best of 100/100 is the grand finale of the 100to100 Challenge, a monthly idea competition for research-based product and business concepts. Organized by Science & Startups—the joint startup support network of Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin—the competition challenges participants to present their innovative ideas in exactly 100 words.

Every month, the top five submissions are selected by expert reviewers and awarded €100 each. Now, at the annual closing event, the 5 best ideas of the year will be celebrated and showcased to a broader audience.

Participants are invited to deepen their submissions in a 1,000-word one-pager and create a short video pitch for Science & Startups' social media channels. Based on these entries, a public voting and expert jury will select the Top 5 finalists, who will pitch live at the event in front of a jury and audience. Each finalist team will receive a €1,000 prize.
