What aspects do I need to consider when writing my motivational letter?
The 1-2 paged motivational letter should be written in German, unless stated otherwise by the department. In it you describe to what extent you qualify for the stay abroad at the host university (incl. language skills, interest in the course of study/profile of the university). We urge you to consider the following points:
- Describe the reasons for your stay abroad in the country and university of choice.
- How will the stay abroad influence your studies and research work? What are your goals?
- Explain your study project, define your professional interests as well as the feasibility of the stay abroad.
Detailed questions can be discussed with your Erasmus coordinator. Additional application information can be found here.
