English certificates for further Bachelor's degree programs for enrollment

You can demonstrate English skills either by school records or certificates regarding language tests.

If the university entrance qualification was acquired abroad, it is usually not possible to tell from the certificates how many years of language instruction were completed. In this case, applicants must submit either a certificate from their school stating the duration of the instruction or a language certificate. In the case of graduates of the Studienkolleg of Freie Universität Berlin, the level at which the language instruction was given is indicated on the certificate.


A university entrance qualification in English or a completed degree program in English are generally considered as proof of English proficiency at the B1 CEFR and B2 CEFR levels. These must be submitted with the application.
