Admission notices

As soon as the application deadlines for undergraduate courses with restricted admission and master's courses* with and without admission restrictions have expired, all applications have been reviewed and the selection process has been carried out, notifications of admission will be deposited in the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin. Therefore, please check your account in the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin regularly.

Please read the notification carefully and observe the enrollment deadline specified therein. You can only accept the offered study place and complete the online data entry within the enrollment period. If you do not complete the online data entry within the deadline, the offer of a place on the course will expire and the place will be given to another person.

*The admissions process for master's programs with admission restrictions can only be carried out once the responsible department has checked all applications.

Notices of enrollment 

If you have applied for an undergraduate course with no admission restrictions, you will receive a notification of enrollment in the application portal. If you have not yet completed the online data collection, please accept the study place offer within the deadline specified in the application portal and fill out the online data collection. If you do not complete the online data entry within the deadline, the offer of a place on the course will be forfeited. The notification of enrollment is an official document and can be presented during visa procedures.  

Refusal notices 

If your application was rejected, you will receive a rejection notice in the application portal. It contains information on the limit ranks of the respective selection process and on participation in any succession processes that may take place.Rejection notifications for DoSV applications are only made available within the Hochschulstart application portal.  

Exclusion notices 

If your application was rejected due to failure to meet the admission requirements, missing application documents or other formal reasons, you will receive a notice of exclusion with information on the reasons for the rejection in the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin or, in the case of a DoSV application, within the application portal of Hochschulstart.
