As recipient of the 42nd Samuel Fischer Visiting Professorship, Brazilian author Bernardo Carvalho will lecture at the Peter Szondi Institute during winter semester 2019/20.

Each year since 2002, Freie Universität has invited doctoral alumni to celebrate the Golden Doctoral Jubilee, the 50th anniversary of their doctoral degree. The 2019 celebration welcomed 70 jubilarians. The event is organized by Freie Universität and the Ernst Reuter Society.
