The subject of the Master's program is the in-depth social scientific examination of Korea as a subject of study in the East Asian context. Special emphasis is placed on teaching the methods of social science research on Korea. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of central discourses in Korea-related research and deal intensively with selected issues, taking into account the Korean research discussion. Furthermore, knowledge of current scientific discourses is imparted and developed in relation to Korea. In the modules of the Master's program, knowledge of selected phenomena, developments and processes in Korea are conveyed and discussed in a broader, also transregional context.
