Workshop: “Sustainability in Teaching”
In a globalizing world of limited resources and unlimited ingenuity, universities play a vital role in preparing students to meet the sustainability challenges of the future. Across disciplines, teaching and learning require not only the application of new research findings, but also new didactic and methodological approaches.
The Teaching Incubator of the University Alliance for Sustainability brings together senior and junior lecturers as well as administrative staff responsible for curriculum development so that they can share their experiences with integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into their university teaching.
The participants:
- Visited various teaching and learning spaces at Freie Universität and receive input from practitioners,
- Shared best practices, methods, and projects from their home institutions,
- Discussed the approaches and conditions necessary to successfully integrate ESD into their respective teaching (and research) environments,
- Drafted a concept for an online resource containing the most important findings from the workshop, including an appendix showcasing the best practices from all UAS partner universities.
We provide a complete documentation in the following and here you find the participants list and the program.
