Meet the SUSTAIN IT! Initiative for Sustainability + Climate Protection this wednesday, on 10.10.2018 during the Critical Orientation Weeks at FU Berlin

News from Oct 09, 2018

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  the SUSTAIN IT! Initiative for Sustainability + Climate Protection takes the opportunity to present themselves at the Critical Orientation Weeks. They will be available for an interest-led exchange of words in the foyer of the Silberlaube (in front of Mensa II) aiming to share their ideas and actions with all interested parties. For this purpose, they have planned a multi-layered exchange.

Not only can you talk about sustainability at the university, the initiative itself, the Hambacher Forst or plastic fasting, but also a clothing exchange will be set up, where everyone is invited to put old favourite items back into circulation and/or take along new dream items. The rule is the following: Leaving your clothes there is not a must, only an option!

The bike self-help workshop FUrad will also be there to help you with tools and tips from 12:00 to 16:00 and to help you get your bikes in shape for the start of the semester.

In addition to that, a board of waste with rescued food is organized inviting everyone to come along for a feast while talking about food waste and about the future of the university’s FUdsharing room.

SUSTAIN IT!’s goal is to show how consumption can be thought differently, to oppose this more and more and use alternatives instead.

Come along!
