The Accreditation Council has approved Freie Universität Berlin's application to extend the deadline of the current system reaccreditation by another year, until September 30, 2023. The system reaccreditation’s validity remains the same and will last until September 30, 2030.

Subsequently, the following schedule applies:

• July 2021: Submit the internal report
• September 2021: First visit (Sept. 9/10, 2021)
• September 2022: Second visit (Sept. 22/23, 2022)
• September 2023: Announcement of accreditation decision
