Counseling

If you are affected by sexualized harassment, discrimination or violence, have observed it or want to get preventive information, you will receive support! Seek confidential advice from the Central contact person for sexual harassment at FU Berlin or another contact point. Trust your feelings: If what you have experienced does not feel good and is stressful, it is likely that your boundaries have been violated. In a confidential counseling session, you will receive help on how to deal with such situations.

The central contact person for sexualized harassment, discrimination or violence at FU Berlin is Wendy Stollberg. You can discuss what you have experienced with her and get advice on possible next steps, which she will accompany you through if you wish. She offers counceling on site at Goßlerstr. 2-4, 14195 Berlin, via phone or Webex - whatever works best for you. Please book your appointment here.

Wendy Stollberg is supported in her counseling by Katharina Schmidt, Deputy Chief Gender Equality Officer. You can also visit other university-internal and external counseling centers - a list can be found below.

All counselors (both internal and external) are bound to confidentiality and will not pass on any information to others without the explicit consent of the person seeking advice. Most counseling centers can also be contacted anonymously. A number of advice centers offer advice in various languages.

Wendy Stollberg will gladly put you in touch with other specialized external advice centres that are not listed here. These include contact points for queer people who have experienced discrimination and violence, for people who experienced sexualized violence as children, for people in various crisis situations as well as counselling centres for perpetrators of violence.
