Host institutions for internships

Host institutions could be any institutions established in a program country, active in the labor market or in the fields of education, training or youth. Should you wish to complete an internship at a higher education institution, it must hold a valid Erasmus University Charter (ECHE).

Please note: Internships starting from 31.08.2025 outside the Erasmus+ area will not be funded. Internships will then only be funded in the Erasmus+ program countries.

The following institutions are not eligible as hosting institutions for internships:

◾EU institutions and other EU institutions including specialized agencies (see https://europa.eu/european-union/contact/institutions-bodies_de).

◾Institutions managing EU programs (e.g., National Agencies) to avoid conflicts of interest or double funding.

Research internships at universities are possible. Prerequisite: no enrollment at the university!
