* Master students can only take courses provided by the School of English.

Minimum language requirement: 

IELTS 6.0 overall, 5,5 in respective sections; TOEFL (iBT) 92 overall (listening and reading 21, writing 22, speaking: 23).

For some Schools and subject areas (Fine Art, Media and Communication, English, Law, Linguistics and Phonetics, Business, Philosophy, Religion and History of Science, Politics and International relations): IELTS Overall: 6.5 -  6.0 minimum in listening, reading, speaking and writing, TOEFL (iBT) Overall: 88 - Listening: 19 Reading: 20 Writing: 21 Speaking: 22

For annual spots, you will need to apply for a visa, for which you will need to provide proof of English language proficiency from specific providers. See the following link for information about British government requirements for language certificates for visas.

GPA: The Univeritsy of Leeds requires a higher GPA than other partner universities, ≥2.0.

Important note for Master students:

The Transcript of Records can only be provided in November of the following year. Thus a Master student going to the University of Leeds for their 3rd semester may only receive their Transcript of Records during their 5th semester.

Duration: September - December or January - June.
