Semester spots (BA): 4 semester spots are availabe starting in fall with stipend

Semester spots (MA): 2 semester spots are available with stipend or 1 academic year (starting in fall) is available with stipend 

Minimum language requirement: TOEFL: 100, IELTS: 7.0, some departments may require higher scores

GPA: 3.0/4.0 (corresponds to 2,0 in the German scale)

Duration: Late August - Mid December / Early May

Additional Scholarships:

  • Bachelor: Scholarship including on-campus housing, meal plan, and health insurance. See VIS FINANCES | Global Education Office (duke.edu).
  • Master: Scholarship to cover living expenses of approximately $12,000 for the entire academic year and health insurance. Scholarship recipients must pay some fees of approximately $1,000.

Additional Costs:

  • Bachelor: Fees for undergraduate students are covered by the Duke-FU undergraduate full scholarship.
  • Master:
    Health Fee: $484 per term, $968 per acad. year
    Transcript Fee: $120
    Graduate Student Service Fee: $12 per term, $24 per acad. year
