Language requirements: Portuguese (B2 level) or English (B2 level, verifiable by FU language certificate).
English language courses offered: On the bachelor level, courses are offered on Brazilian and Latin American culture, literature, business administration, design, society and history, among others. Subjects in English are not necessarily offered every semester. Additionally to taking courses in English, International Students must take Portuguese as a Second Foreign Language during the semester, as well as other courses in Portuguese recommended by the coordinator.

Additional Costs
PUC Rio charges additional fees for enrollment and other services (R$ 1.023 for one semester or R$ 1.536 Reais for two semesters), which students must pay themselves. Click here for more information on fees.
Master's students at PUC Rio have the option to choose graduate (MA) courses if they meet the Portuguese language requirement of at least B2-level. PUC-Rio encourage students who are confident in their Portuguese skills (B2 or above) to apply as they will have access to a broader academic offering in the graduate programs.
