Students from Germany may provide a DAAD English language test instead of the other options listed. Alternatively, a grade of 13 or better in English in the Abitur may be used as proof of English language for entry to undergraduate study.

Study Abroad Tuition fee for 2026

The UC undergraduate partner Study Abroad tuition fee for 2026 will be NZD$11,880 per semester (this is a special partner rate which is 10% below our standard Study Abroad fee of $13,200). This is a flat tuition fee covering undergraduate courses only. 

The above tuition fee applies for 2026 (February semester 2026 and July semester 2026). Fees for February semester 2027 will be set next year, however would typically not rise more than NZD$200. Estimated Study Abroad tuition fee for 2027 (yet to be confirmed) is NZD$12,060 per semester.

 

Other Fees:

As per usual, in addition to the tuition fee there will also be a Student Services Levy which covers the cost of provision of student services and is a university-wide fee which applies to all students, both domestic and international. The levy is linked to the number of points (credits) enrolled in and for a standard load of 60 points per semester it will be NZD$ 618.20 in 2026.

The Studentsafe insurance premium is NZD$449.50 for one semester (see here for UC insurance requirements and information). Information on the Studentsafe Inbound University policy can be found here.
