Foreign students are generally required to take out health insurance in Germany. For this purpose, a student insurance contract can be concluded with any statutory health insurance provider in Germany. If you already have your insurance number, select "compulsorily insured" when enrolling.

If you do not yet have a health insurance number, select "no insurance" when enrolling and take out health insurance as soon as possible! The health insurance company will then send us a notification of your insurance status.

Please note that travel insurance does not provide sufficient health insurance cover for the duration of your studies in Germany and cannot be accepted as proof of insurance. Travel health insurance is only valid for the duration of your visa and your entry into Germany as long as the semester has not yet begun.
