Keynote Speaker Patrick Graichen
On April 1st, Dr. Patrick Graichen will give a talk on “Clean Energy Transition in Europe: The Big Picture“ at our Spring Campus Conference.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Patrick Graichen, Director of Agora Energiewende as a keynote speaker to our Conference in April. Last year he was awarded "Energy Manager of the Year 2018". Patrick Graichen received his doctorate on municipal energy policy from the Interdisciplinary Institute for Environmental Economics at the University of Heidelberg.
Before granting him leave for his work at Agora Energiewende, the economist and political scientist worked in various positions at the Federal Environment Ministry. Initially in the field of international climate policy, later as Personal Advisor to the State Secretary finally as Head of Division for Energy and Climate Policy. During this time, he played a leading role in negotiations on the economic instruments of the Kyoto Protocol, the Federal Government's Integrated Energy and Climate Programme of 2007, the EU Climate and Energy Package 2008 and the legislative procedures in the field of energy law.
We are looking forward to his talk providing insights on his long year experiences and expertise on the topic of Clean Energy Transition in Europe.
