The workshop on April 02-03, 2019 focuses on comparing strategies, policies and projects addressing sustainability transitions.

Chaired by Dr. habil. Berthold Kuhn (FU), Prof. Kurt Hübner (UBC), and Anna-Lena Guske (FU), this workshop will look at policies and practices in different countries, regions and cities that address national policies and projects on sustainability transitions and specific commitments made at the Paris conference in 2015. It will also discuss new policy proposals and provides room for addressing critical social aspects of transition policies and programs. The workshop aims at bridging insights and theoretical concepts from different disciplines, involving academics and practitioners.

Participants will contribute to and learn about the diversity of strategies and challenges in different countries aiming at accelerating emissions reduction and promoting the transition to low-carbon economies.

Contribution in form of presentations of researchers and practitioners could cover policy issues or practices in different countries and regions and targeting different sectors such as power, transport, industry, buildings and forestry.

Please, send your abstracts (500-900 words) until 31st January 2019 to berthold.kuhn@fu-berlin.de, with cc. to Kurt.Huebner@ubc.ca, or submit an outline of your draft power point presentation (15 min) or poster presentation. The confirmations for participation in the workshop sessions will be sent out by 6th February 2019.
