After a break, the Open Science Working Group (OSWG) at Freie Universität Berlin is resuming its activities. To kick things off, we warmly invite you to a one-hour info session. The aim is to collaboratively develop ideas for the future direction of the group, discuss current developments in the field of Open Science at FU, and explore opportunities for getting involved going forward.
In addition to introducing FU’s Open Science and Open Access Officers – Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer and Dr. Dennis Mischke – we will provide an outlook on upcoming events, particularly the autumn event “Open Science in Action: Show and Share with FU Researchers.”
The meeting will also offer space for:
• thematic suggestions and ideas for future OSWG meetings
• brief insights into participants’ Open Science practices (“Spotlights from the Field”)
• collecting open questions and topics such as research assessment reform, Open Science and an open society, or the limits of openness
Participation:
Everyone interested – whether you have years of Open Science experience or are simply curious – is warmly invited.
We kindly ask for a short, informal registration by email to open-science@fu-berlin.de by Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the latest.
We look forward to meeting you – or seeing you again – at the info session!
