Discovering Open Science – Concepts, Policies, and Services at Freie Universität Berlin
In this compact introductory workshop, we present the key concepts and contexts of Open Science and point out opportunities for further developing relevant skills and knowledge.
Open Science refers to the opening of various elements of the research process without legal, technical, or financial barriers. This includes publishing research results through Open Access, sharing research data, making software and lab notebooks accessible, and increasing transparency in peer review. Concepts such as citizen science and science communication are also closely related to Open Science.
