In 2012, Freie Universität established the position of the Open Access Representative. The representative cooperates with the Academic Senate, Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) (see below) and the University Library to further develop the open access strategy and serves as a point of contact for all members of university for questions related to Open Access. The Representative offers trainings and courses and provides advice on Open Access issues to students, researchers and other members of Freie Universtität.
