Anja Rockel holds degrees in German and English Literature and Linguistics (University of Osnabrück) as well as German as a foreign language in Arabic contexts and education (University of Leipzig & Ain-Shams-University Cairo).

She has been teaching language, literature and (popular) culture for the PAD and DAAD in the UK, the Netherlands, Egypt and Canada and other institutions in the context of migration.

Her interest and teaching include concepts of aesthetic learning as well as the didactics of creative, biographical and therapeutical writing. Seeing language as a collective tool to preserve cultural knowledge and apply restorative practices through writing is keeping her passionate about teaching and working with language.
