Rosalind-Franklin-Award for Research Integrity

Call for nominations 2025

News from Jan 21, 2025

For the first time, Freie Universität Berlin honours researchers who have rendered outstanding services to research integrity, the deadline for the current call for nominations for the Rosalind-Franklin-Award for Research Integrity is 31 March 2025.

The Rosalind-Franklin-Award for Research Integrity commemorates the British biophysicist Rosalind Franklin, who crucially contributed to the structural elucidation of DNA, although this was never recognised during her lifetime.

All members and organisational units of Freie Universität Berlin have the right to nominate candidates. The nominee must be a member of Freie Universität Berlin at the time of nomination. Acting ombudspersons and members of the investigatory commission may not be nominated.

The award is endowed with 2,500 euros, which will be made available to the award winner as free research funds (no personell funds). The award is presented by the President of Freie Universität.
