The Postdoc Office at the Dahlem Research School is a new central point of contact for postdocs at Freie Universität Berlin.
We support researchers who have completed their doctorates in navigating the complex system of academic and non-academic career paths and making informed decisions about their further professional development.
Our services are aimed at national and international postdocs from all disciplines regardless of whether they are seeking a professorship, a permanent position in the academic system, or a transition to non-university career fields.

- Development of a central information platform for postdocs at Freie Universität Berlin

Offerings at the Postdoc Academy of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA)
The Postdoc Academy is the central, cross-institutional qualification and networking program for postdocs of the alliance partners. It brings together a broad portfolio of workshops, programs, and exchange formats, creating a common platform for the career development of postdocs in Berlin's career community.
The Postdoc Academy's programs are free of charge.

Classification: The Postdoc Office at Freie Universität Berlin complements the BUA offering. Its focus is on individual orientation, counseling, and targeted placement. The Postdoc Office supports for example postdocs in identifying suitable offerings from the Postdoc Academy and other internal and external institutions at FU and making good use of them. The goal is to provide orientation within the existing portfolio of offerings.
