The Schader Foundation Prize, endowed with €15,000, honors social scientists who, through outstanding research and exceptional social commitment, provide important impetus for overcoming social challenges. DHC member Sebastian Conrad, professor of modern history with a research focus on global history, is being honored in particular for his work on the history of globalization and the emergence of nation states, as well as for his contributions to the postcolonialism debate.
