If you decide to switch to a different university, but stay in the same field of study, then this will be considered a transition semester and funding from the scholarship will continue to be paid out for one semester. This gives the student the opportunity to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium or another funding program at their new university. This applies to transfers to a university within or outside of Germany.
