What is it about?

Thirteen students from Freie Universität Berlin visited our Una Europa partner university Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie from 28-30 May. The visit was part of an exchange that was organized by the Una Europa Student Board members from JU Kraków and FU Berlin: Valeria Quintana Solis, Pola Kramarzyk, Fleur-Nicole Riskin, and Lukas Hofmann.

You should know this:

Together with students from the Una Europa Local Student Task Force (LTF) and students who were new to Una Europa they explored different topics around student engagement at our universities and within the Una Europa alliance. They participated in workshops hosted by Una Europa staff members Natalia Szymańska and Stinne Vognæs who gave insights into student engagement in the Una.Futura project and to our Una Europa Future UniLab. The students also met for a discussion with Dr. Ngenge Ransom Tanyu who is active in Una Europa’s sustainability focus area and who talked to the students about relationships between the global south and global north around sustainability questions.

The student exchange took place right after the Una Europa General Assembly in Kraków and was made possible thanks to big efforts by Una Europa colleagues and students at JU Kraków together with the Una Europa team at Freie Universität and our local co-funding to Una Europa from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The students are now planning an exchange visit from JU Kraków to FU Berlin in the fall of this year.
