Internal and International Chinese Migrations
Bettina Gransow-van Treeck
Kommentar
The course aims to provide an overview of international research trends in China-related migration studies, enabling students to address issues in this field independently based on critical analysis of relevant sources. After an introduction to the key theories and methods of China-related migration research and their challenges, the second part of the course will focus on creating a typology of Chinese migration (including labour migration, educational migration, family reunification and separation, and migration governance in each of these areas). The third part will examine migrant settlements and diaspora spaces in Chinese and international metropolises. Schließen
