European integration: differences between European regions
Justyna Okrucinska
Kommentar
The seminar ‘European Integration: Differences Between European Regions’ is going to focus on the critical comparison of the application and results of the integration processes. The goal is to present the inequalities coming from the way in which the European Union is constructed, but also the differences in which the goal of the European Union is perceived. The comparison will concern Western, Eastern and Southern Europe. The question on which the seminar is based is ‘Can we talk about the existence of the sub-peripheries in the European Union?’. In the class, there will be discussed topics like the process of the accession to the European Union; the narrative on the European Union in membership countries; perception of the European regions among the societies. On the other hand, the seminar will also cover topics on the specific areas of the policies: economy, migration, rule of law, social cohesion. Schließen
