To further explore the globalization of East Asian cuisines, the exercise aims to introduce various materials in East Asian languages and different methodological approaches to study East Asian cuisines in different parts of the world. By reading and analyzing different types of sources, this course prepares students to write their term papers. Sources include policy papers, government reports, blogs, social media content and newspaper articles to look at the globalization of East Asian cuisines from different perspectives. This course is open to students in the Global East Asia MA program. Proficiency in one East Asian language (Chinese, Japanese or Korean) is required. Schließen
