WiSe 24/25: Feminismen und Emanzipationsverständnisse in iranischen Gesellschaften

In the seminar students will be introduced to a variety of notions of emancipation and strands of feminism. The historic developments and different realties of Iranian women will further shed light on the heterogeneity of Iranian societies. The goal is to better understand the nuanced realties and the negotiations around emancipation by Iranian women and their communities. This will allow students to analyse intersectional struggles, get familiar with local and transnational feminist actors as well as the relationship between Iranian women and the Global North.
