Programs and Events for New and Prospective Students

Freie Universität Berlin offers prospective students the opportunity to obtain detailed information on prospective study programs even before they have finished secondary school.

The services offered range from subject-specific advising and informational events regarding academic programs available at Freie Universität to lectures that students can attend on a trial basis. It is even possible for youngsters to get a head start on an academic career: If they wish to do so, students are welcome to attend classes even before they are admitted to the university and earn credit for those classes later on.

Programs and events (German only)

  • Pro Informatik: Computer science courses for new students: lecture for first-semester students with accompanying lab section before the start of the semester itself
  • inFU.tage: nformational events for future applicants: These events present academic programs.
  • FUSS –Studierende der Freien Universität an die Schulen (Students of Freie Universität to Schools): Advising on academic program structures, opportunities to study, and applying to and being admitted at Freie Universität
