  • Internationalization

Many health-related courses offered by the University Sports Center are also part of the FUndament Gesundheit program, which serves to promote health in the workplace at Freie Universität Berlin.

Typical health-related sports activities offered as part of the programs available through the University Sports Center at Freie Universität include relaxation classes, Pilates, tai chi, qi gong, back exercise, and various forms of yoga. For further information, including information on reimbursement options, please visit the FUndament Gesundheit website.

Aside from the “traditional” activities to promote health, the University Sports Center also offers many other ways to get and stay active that serve the goal of promoting health at the university as a place where people live and work. Through its offerings, the University Sports Center at Freie Universität Berlin aims to help strengthen users’ health resources and build personal skills and good habits around health while taking social disadvantages into account.

The University Sports Center can also visit your office directly upon request through PausenExpress, an active break for four to eight persons at the workplace. A specially trained trainer stops by once a week at a designated time and spends 15 minutes on easy exercises, demonstrating how you can actively loosen, stretch, and strengthen your shoulder, neck, and back areas.
